We actually ended up staying one more night at L & J's Lakeside Resort, even though we had already checked out yesterday and were supposed to be leaving after a morning/afternoon in Kouchibouguac Park. The day kept getting extended, therefore we asked our campground hosts if they would allow another night. In fact, we liked it so much at L & J's Lakeside Resort that we inquired about getting a monthly rate and using this as our home base for a while, but reconsidered when we noticed a very nervous tic in both of them! So, we left...
Up by 6:00 AM - Gone by 6:45
We were a little sad to leave Lise and Jean-Pierre's amazing camping spot. We'd had a wonderful time with them - the perfect hosts! Good times and great memories for sure. Now it was time to start the next leg of our trip.
We chose to take the Acadian trail all the way to Nova Scotia.

So beautiful, lots of sea scapes, farmland and little villages. The air smelled so sweet. Saw lots of lupins and wild flowers!

Welcome to Nova Scotia!
We stopped at the info centre in Nova Scotia and were greeted by the sounds of a bagpiper (52 second video). Decided to update blog here as there was free wifi and comfy couches. Look at us! Putting up today's post even before the day is over! It's only 11:20 AM.
We thoroughly enjoyed our drive from the Nova Scotia border, once again following the secondary roads, following the shoreline as much as we could. More distance, more time, but we are seeing the country from a different perspective! We have encountered construction often on this trip across Canada, however it's been worth it! We're in no big hurry.
We drove for a while, stopped to have lunch at a nice little roadside restaurant (lobster roll was great once again!), then kept driving for a while. We were going to move on all the way to Cape Breton, but decided that since it was 32 degrees, a stop at a campground somewhere near a beach would be best. Are we ever glad we stopped! We stopped in Seafoam, on the northern shore of Nova Scotia. We ended up getting what I think is the choice spot of the whole busy campground! The last fully serviced site available! Hard to level on that site, but who cares! Check out the view from our campsite!
We had an awesome afternoon and evening, thoroughly enjoying our day at Seafoam, Nova Scotia!
Enjoyed a glass of wine watching the sunset after dinner at the campsite. For dessert, we had some of the "tarte au sucre" (sugar pie) that we had brought with us from Cocagne! Thank-you, Lise!
What a beautiful country we live in!

Looking for the spot!
Barnacles on rock, at low tide.
Nobody we know... but this shows the campground from the beach.
Notice our red Tacoma above.
Beauty on the beach...
Remnants of a once busy wharf...

Hard to beat a snooze on the beach!
I may give up exercise for this!
