Day 22 - Cape Breton at new campsite - Tues, July 9

Leaving this campsite in Baddeck... on to the next.

Today, we are moving to our new campsite, at MacLeod Campground on the west side of Cape Breton Island, the campsite that we had checked out on our first day here.. Awesome place! Beautiful beach!

The road to our new site...

Filling our water reservoir... no water
and electricity at the awesome site
we've got here. Usually, the
 best sites are unserviced.

The view from our trailer!

 The retro games area

Jamie! Our pool table better not look like this
when we get back to our place!

Healthy lunch at our beautiful spot...
 Our walkway to the beach...

 Our trailer from the walkway...

 The beach! So busy here!

 Picking rocks for the grandkids...

 Awesome rocks on this beach...

 So cool!

You can see our trailer on upper left in trees...

While Suzie was reading about the princess...

I went exploring with my bike and found this awesome cliff lookout!

Looking the other direction...

The busy part of the trailer park (that we avoided!)

Had a nice relaxing afternoon on the beach, went for supper at the Red Shoe Pub in Mabou, owned by the Rankin Sisters (Rankin Family). Great meal, great evening!

Where we went for supper - home of the Rankins...

More seafood - awesome seafood chowder!

Great mussels and the best seafood pasta ever!

Sunset in Mabou

In case any of you have been trying to phone or text us, we have absolutely NO cell service anywhere around here. We will probably be occasionally in areas with service once we get to the east side of Cape Breton on Friday afternoon. Until then, good luck reaching us!
